What we welcome

We consider essays and explanatory pieces about scenario thinking, signals of change, assumptions in forecasts, imagination and decisions under uncertainty. A strong contribution gives readers a distinct idea to work with, explains any specialist language and makes the difference between evidence and speculation plain.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the working title, the central question, the main point you want to make and why the piece suits this publication. Include a short outline and note any sources or examples the idea depends on. Keep a proposal focused on one fresh angle rather than a broad tour of the future.
